An Ohio teen accused of stabbing a teenage girl to death smirked as he appeared in court on Wednesday.
Prospectors say the teen confessed to killing the girl and dumping her body.
The teen smirked in court after the prosecutor said, “There is evil in the world and he’s one of those evil people.”
Burger was reportedly stabbed inside her apartment complex where she lived with her mother. Gina’s mom reported the girl missing at around 11 pm after she left several hours earlier to borrow some tea bags from a neighbor.
While the mom was outside waiting for the police, Williams walked out of the complex “struggling to carry what appeared to be a bag used to store a portable playpen.”
Williams reportedly asked the girl’s mother if she “wanted to buy a baby thing” which, unbeknownst to her, contained her daughter’s butchered remains.
Williams reportedly dumped the bag into a dumpster and the girl’s body was then taken to a landfill by a sanitation truck the next day.
“She wasn’t just a piece of trash to be disregarded,” the girl’s mom said. “Then, to find her in a landfill; I mean, that’s someone who has no regard for life.”
Williams, who is presumed to be homeless, has been charged with aggravated murder and kidnapping. Prosecutors say they will seek the death penalty. He is being held without bond.
