Liberals seem to think not wanting to raise the debt limit is a criminal act. By golly, let’s just throw out the idea of sound money then and print to oblivion! One big money printing party.
As part of the ongoing effort to foment hate and violence against conservatives, a petition at Moveon.org demands House GOP leaders be arrested and tried for sedition, Mediaite reported Thursday.
“I call on the Justice Department of the United States of America to arrest Republican Majority Leader Eric Cantor, Speaker of the House John Boehner and other decision-making House Republican leaders for the crime of seditious conspiracy against the United States of America,” the petition says.
“The House GOP leadership’s use of the Hastert Rule and H. Res 368 to shut down the government and threaten the US economy with default is an attempt to extort the United States government into altering or abolishing the Affordable Care Act, and thus, is self-evidently a seditious conspiracy,” the petition page claims. “Arrest the perpetrators in Congress immediately and bring them to justice.”
What Moveon.org means by “bring them to justice” remains to be seen, but some supporters called for Republicans to be killed.
“Hanging is too good for these seditious traitors,” one unhinged petition signer wrote.
Others suggested Republicans be sent to the detention facility at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
“It’s about time somebody made the Rebublicans (sic) accountable for their criminal actions,” one person wrote.
“Conspiracy to overthrow our government. This is NOT a small charge…..this is a HUGE offense,” another petition signer wrote.
“The ultimate Liberal fantasy is to either lock up or execute all of their political opposition. With the help of Hollywood and the media, they’re well on their way to one party rule,” one reader said at Mediaite.
