Oregon basketball fans let Barack Obama know exactly what they think of him. The President was booed last night as he took to his seat to watch Oregon State University play a Washington-area team. Michelle Obama was also in attendance because her brother, Craig Robinson, coaches the men’s team.
The booing comes on the heels of a new Qunnipiac University study which shows 54 percent of Americans disapprove of the job that Obama is doing, compared to just 39 percent who approve. Quinnipiac University Polling Institute assistant director Tim Malloy confirmed that “President Obama’s job approval rating has fallen to the level of former President George H.W. Bush at the same period of his Presidency.” Ratings from male and female voters from all age and economic backgrounds have shown higher disapproval ratings than approval ratings.
Much of Obama’s recent disapproval stems from the difficulties regarding the rollout of ObamaCare. Although the President acknowledged that “we fumbled the rollout on this health care law,” he insisted that the Affordable Health Care act website has “gotten a lot better over the last few weeks.”
However, it hasn’t helped the overall enrollment numbers for ObamaCare. The White House was hoping to have 500,000 people enrolled by the end of October, but only 40,000 people have signed up so far. A U.S. Army intelligence official speaking anonymously also said that the Obama administration has released nearly 200 senior officers over the last five years, creating concern amongst armed forces that the President is creating a “compliant officer class.”
