A major FBI manhunt is underway. Two armed men broke into a home and kidnapped a 14 year old girl in Georgia. They are now demanding a ransom of $100K.
"We want this to end peacefully and we’re just going to continue to search diligently for them," Clayton County Police Sergeant Kevin Hughes told HLN’s Raising America on Wednesday. "They need to know the severity of the crimes that they’ve committed and try and make it easy by just turning the child in and let us get her back home safely to her parents."
The FBI has joined the search for Ayvani Hope Perez who was kidnapped early Tuesday morning from her home in an Atlanta, Georgia, suburb.
The teen was last seen wearing blue and grey Star Wars pajama bottoms and a blue and gray superhero shirt, according to an Amber Alert. She is Hispanic, has black hair and brown eyes, is four-feet-nine-inches tall and weighs 93 pounds. She may be traveling in a gray Dodge.
The family of a 14-year-old Georgia girl who was abducted from her home by two armed intruders is frantically trying to raise a $10,000 ransom demanded by the gunmen, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Wednesday.
NBC News reports that the kidnappers have since raised their ransom demand to $100,000.
