Sarah Palin didn’t find much humor in the annual White House Correspondents’ Dinner Saturday night.
Although the former Alaska governor was not invited to the star-studded affair, that didn’t stop her from watching the event and slamming the president and attendees afterwards.
"That #WHCD was pathetic. The rest of America is out there working our asses off while these DC assclowns throw themselves a #nerdprom," Palin tweeted after the event.
The conservative pundit also dedicated a Facebook post to criticizing the dinner:
"Yuk it up media and pols. While America is buried in taxes and a fight for our rights, the permanent political class in DC dresses up and has a prom to make fun of themselves. No need for that, we get the real joke."
Despite Palin’s harsh reaction to the dinner, the Washington Post reports that both Palin’s daughter, Bristol, and her husband, Todd, have gone to the dinner in previous years.
During the dinner, President Obama cracked a number of memorable jokes about himself. He approached the podium to DJ Khaled’s song "All I Do Is Win" and quipped about how re-election would allow him to unleash a radical agenda.
