So here is the gist of the story.
Back in March, an Iraqi woman and mother of five was murdered in San Diego. There was a note telling her "Go back to your own country." which made the case seem like a hate crime.
But now, new revelations suggest that the hate crime aspect of the story was staged. The window was shattered but probably shattered from the inside.
The husband of an Iraqi-American woman whose beating death initially raised fears of a hate crime was arrested on suspicion of murder in what police described Friday as an act of domestic violence.
Kassim Alhimidi, 48, was taken into custody Thursday after being called into the police station.
Redman said there were no other suspects. He declined to comment on the evidence or elaborate on a possible motive.
