Last week we reported on Obama’s special White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for African Americans, within the Department of Education.
I challenged the Constitutionality of this initiative.
I never realized we could siphon money for the purpose of propping up and "trying" to improve the lives of one segment of the population over another.
It turns out that it could be much worse. The initiative seeks to balance out the discipline across all racial groups.
“African Americans lack equal access to highly effective teachers and principals, safe schools, and challenging college-preparatory classes, and they disproportionately experience school discipline”
Hans Bader, a former Education Department official, predicts:
“What this means is that whites and Asians will get suspended for things that blacks don’t get suspended for”
Roger Clegg, the president of the Center for Equal Opportunity.
“It is too bad that the president has chosen to set up a new bureaucracy with a focus on one particular racial group, to the exclusion of all others”
