Caller: I need an ambulance.
Caller: I need an ambulance because this guy was raping my daughter and I beat him up. I don’t know what to do!
Operator: OK. OK.
Caller: I need an ambulance. Can you help me?
Operator: Yes, we’re going to try to help you, but you’ve got to give us directions to your house.
Caller: I don’t know the direction, ma’am. If I knew the directions, I would give them to you.
Operator: When you leave Shiner do you go towards?? and then what road.
Caller: Never mind. I’m going to try to load him up in my truck.
Operator: The sheriff is there?
Heather McMinn, District Atty on the case had this to say:
Under the law in the state of Texas, deadly force is authorized and justified in order to stop an aggravated sexual assault … all the evidence that was provided by the Sheriff’s department and the Texas Rangers indicate that was in fact what was occurring when the victim’s father arrived at the scene.
