With Santorum dropping out, today marks the beginning of the general election campaign. And Romney kicks off the campaign season by swinging.
He told Fox News "over 92 percent of the jobs lost under this president were lost by women. His policies really have been a war on women."
But that statistic has been fact checked by Politifact as "mostly false".
Republicans need to realize that Democrats are far better at playing factions off against each other. They brand Republicans as being "against minorities", "against women", "against the poor", "against the elderly", and "against the disabled", etc..
When Republicans do it, we are not nearly as effective. And we should not try. Instead, we should talk about the bright future we are capable of having if we only let the private sector flourish and balance our budgets!
