Liberal energy and environmental regulations already have Californians paying more than $4 a gallon in gasoline. Soon, all Americans will be paying $4 a gallon.
I consult Gasbuddy on a regular basis to see what the rest of the country is paying in gasoline. Being from California, I yearn for the prices that everybody else is paying! If you get 25 miles per gallon on your vehicle, you would be paying 16 cents in gasoline per mile of driving. When you add on the costs of insurance, car maintenance, the possibility of getting a ticket or being in an accident — you are paying roughly 25-35 cents a mile to drive. That 5 mile drive to the store turns into a $3 round trip event.
