The best quote by anybody about Obama’s budget comes from Bill O’Reilly at FoxNews.com
America will soon owe more than $16 trillion. Mr. Obama is not making drastic spending cuts. Does that sound like a good policy to you?
No it does not Bill.
We will end up like Greece if we continue the path that we are on. 25% of Greece’s workforce works for the government. That means 3 private sector workers have to earn for every 1 government worker. When you add on the pensions and health care, you have a massive burden. As a way of fixing these imbalances, Greece will lower the minimum wage by 22% to get companies to hire again. They will also lay off 150,000 government workers. This has caused rioting in the streets.
We have reached a point in the United States where at least 50% are on some kind of government assistance. That cannot last. We ought to make drastic cuts now and unleash the private economy to start hiring again. Private enterprise over government dependency. That is what we want!
