Mitch Daniels delivered the GOP response to the SOTU but he was less than exciting. Though what he had to say was right, the delivery seemed weak and meager in that lonely looking room that he was in.
Rand Paul also put together a response that was posted online.
But it was Herman Cain delivering a response for the Tea Party Express, I believe, that delivered the best response.
Herman Cain says "This nation is broke.. not almost broke. It is broke. And Washington is broken. We can’t spend our way to prosperity. Even though the President continues to propose ideas for more spending, more agencies, and more entitites on top of the over bloated government that we already have. We also can’t tax our way out of debt not until we get this economy growing. "
This is a great reminder to voters that it is Obama’s job performance on the federal budget that has been horrible.
It is just as Cain said. To see Obama spew out more of the same big government, heavy taxation mess at a time when our budget is out of control is irresponsible and not based in reality.
