Conservatives have often wondered about Donald Trump’s commitment to America and Christian values. Trump loves America, there’s no question about that. He wants to make America great again. Trump has promised to protect America and Americans. But what about Christian values? How does he rate with the evangelicals?
Dr. James Dobson, founder of “Focus on the Family,” recently met with the GOP presumptive nominee at a New York City religious forum. Dr. Dobson has confirmed that Donald Trump does have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Dobson reminded us that Trump’s decision to become a born again Christian is relatively new, so we should pray for him. Dr. Dobson added that we should “cut him some slack” because he didn’t grow up like most Christians.
Conservative Tribune reports:
Christian values have been a primary concern for many conservatives when choosing the leaders of our country at the ballot box, and the upcoming presidential election will likely be no different.
Some critics of presumed Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump have expressed skepticism about the candidate’s faith and relationship with Christ, and some voters have been hesitant to go all in for Trump because of the uncertainty.
However, Dr. James Dobson, founder of Focus on the Family, recently met with Trump at a religious forum in New York City, and he revealed a major decision Trump has made that is sure to positively impact the candidate’s image among evangelicals.
