George Stephanopoulos, the host of Good Morning America, recently interviewed the presumptive GOP candidate, Donald J. Trump. The two men got into a little joust over Trump not releasing his tax information as is required by presidential candidates.
When Stephanopoulos asked Trump if he thought that voters have a right to see his tax returns, Trump responded, “I don’t think they do.” Trump went on to explain that he is undergoing a tax audit at this time and will release his tax information later. Trump commented on Stephanopoulos’ ties to the Clintons and that his tax rate was none of his business.
Western Journalism reports:
Good Morning America host George Stephanopoulos was communications director in the Clinton white house and came under fire last year for not disclosing the $75,000 he had donated to the Clinton Foundation.
These facts are not lost on presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump.
Stephanopoulos interviewed Trump for GMA Friday and things started out fairly routine, with the host bringing up that the New York businessman has been hit by presumptive Democrat nominee Hillary Clinton for not releasing his tax returns. Stephanopoulos asked if voters have the right to be able to see his tax returns before the election.
