More information continues to become available concerning what happened in Katy, Texas, June 24, 2016 when Christy Sheats, 42, shot and killed her two daughters, Madison, 17, and Taylor, 22. It is alleged that Sheats wanted to make her husband suffer by taking his daughters away from him permanently. Jason, her husband, managed to escape without injury.
According to reports, Christy Sheats called her husband and two daughters into the living room for a family meeting. She pulled a .38 caliber handgun out of the couch cushions where she had stashed it and pointed it at her husband and daughters. On one of the 911 calls, Jason can be heard begging her to stop pointing the gun at them. Two more 911 calls were made that day, one by her daughter, Taylor, and the other by a neighbor. In the call from the neighbor, he describes Christy Sheats coming out of the house and shooting one of her daughters as she lay, wounded, on the ground. According to earlier reports, Sheats allegedly called Madison, Taylor, and her husband, Jason, into the living room for a family meeting where she proceeded to pull out a .38 caliber handgun, which she was given by her great-grandfather to “protect her family.”
