Most Americans were shocked to hear FBI Director Comey announce that no charges would be recommended to be laid against Hillary Clinton concerning her mishandling of classified email. The Director, in his announcement, said that they found several instances of classified email being sent, received and stored on Clinton’s unauthorized email server. More than 250 instances if you count information that was up-classified since it was sent or received! Comey said that neither Clinton nor her staff intended to break any laws.
Speaker of the House, Paul Ryan, issued a statement expressing his displeasure with the FBI’s decision. “While I respect the law enforcement professionals at the FBI, this announcement defies explanation,” Ryan wrote. “No one should be above the law.”
Ryan continued by reprimanding Director Comey for not following the rule of law. Ryan then turned his sights on Clinton, saying that she clearly tried to mislead the American people by lying about her handling of classified information.
