FBI Director James Comey announced that he did not recommend any criminal charges against Hillary Clinton for her mishandling of classified information and using a personal email server while she was Secretary of State. The news was quite a shock to many Americans who expected Clinton to face the music for putting America an Americans at risk with her blatant negligence and disregard for rules and laws. James Comey was confirmed as the Director of the FBI on July 29, 2013 by a Senate vote of 93 – 1.
Senator Rand Paul, R-KY, was the lone dissenting vote. After Comey’s announcement, Rand posted an article from 2013 entitled, “Sen. Rand Paul is lone dissenter as James Comey confirmed for FBI post.” Next to the article, Senator Paul posted these words, “I’m just gonna leave this right here.”
