Haven’t we heard enough from the Black Lives Matter movement? The media is full of stories about the violence and rioting that happens when they get together for peaceful demonstrations. Black Lives Matter has been promoting violence against police wherever they go. Are these demonstrations and protests simply a cover for looting and killing? Are we politically incorrect if we criticize or disagree with Black Lives Matter activists?
In the wake of the murder of five Dallas police officers, a sign was put up on an overpass. The sign reads, “Enough damn it! Police lives matter. Thank you officers.”
While bullets were in the air in Dallas, police were doing their duty. They were trying to protect the demonstrators. A woman who witnessed an officer being shot said his last words were, “He has a gun. Run!”
The Federalist Papers Project reports:
After years of inciting violence against police, #BlackLivesMatter claimed the lives of five officers in Dallas last week.
If BLM wants to claim to be a civil rights group, they’re doing a terrible job at it. They do more to promote an “us vs. them” mentality than any racist could ever hope to.
How common is it to hear criticisms of BLM dismissed just on the basis that the person making the criticism is white? You know, to paraphrase a certain Civil Rights leader, I’d really rather have criticisms evaluated on the content of their arguments, not the color of the one making them.
