Ted Strickland has earned a reputation in Ohio for being one of the most corrupt politicians in the state.
He’s your typical establishment insider.
He is running for senate seat in Ohio and he is going to have a really hard time if he keeps making blunders like this.
From Western Journalism:
Ohio U.S. Senate candidate Democrat Ted Strickland said Monday while speaking to an AFL-CIO event that Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia’s death “happened at a good time.”
“In about three-and-a-half months, we’ll make a decision about who occupies the executive branch, what party controls the Senate, and growing out of those two decisions will be the future of the United States Supreme Court,” the former Ohio governor said according to audio captured by the NTK Network.
“And my friends, a lot of average citizens out there don’t understand the importance of that court,” he continued. “I mean, the death of Scalia saved labor from a terrible decision. And I don’t wish anyone ill, but it happened at a good time because once that decision had been made, it would have been tough to reverse it,” drawing laughter from the audience.
Wonder why the media hasn’t picked up on this one?
It’s another example of liberals being held to a different standard than conservatives.
