Law enforcement officers take enough abuse from the bad guys on a regular basis, they don’t need more from ordinary people. Have folks just forgotten manners? Maybe some were never taught how to show respect to others. When will people realize that they don’t have a right to insult police officers simply because they wear a badge? When you’re in trouble, who do you call? You call the police, not your Uncle Albert.
It has been reported that two officers in North Carolina have alleged that staff at a Shelby fast food restaurant verbally attacked them and then served them food that had been tampered with. The wife of one of the deputies involved in the incident said that after they had endured taunting and name-calling, her husband discovered that his chicken had an unusual amount of hot sauce. There was so much hot sauce on his food that it could not be eaten.
The Shelby outlet franchise owner has promised a full investigation into the matter. He would like to meet the officers personally and apologize. He said that his team, his family, as well as himself take this matter very seriously.
