Donald Trump has earned the support from many surprising groups. Reagan Democrats, Hispanics and dozens of other groups that rarely vote Republican have flocked to Trump, inspired by his message of hope for America.
Breitbart reported the most surprising group of all giving Trump support, a billboard has gone up in Pennsylvania, but it is who funded the billboard that will floor most people.
Yes, you read that right. Amish PAC has officially endorsed Trump for president, and was actively encouraging all Amish who were registered to vote to cast their vote for Trump in November.
Pennsylvania has a pretty large Amish population – roughly 70,000 or so, although not all of those would be registered or even of voting age – so getting the support of these people could really help Trump turn Pennsylvania red for the first time in decades.
“Pennsylvania has a good shot of going Republican in November and these billboards will certainly help by getting people registered and to the polls,” explained Ben King, the director of outreach for the Amish PAC.
This is surprising because Trump is pretty much the exact opposite of a typical Amish man. He is showy, boastful, and, of course, a frequent passenger on his own airplane.
However, this endorsement just shows that many people don’t care about Trump’s personal flaws – they see him as someone who can put America back on track and are willing to forgive him for his past mistakes.
Roughly 95 percent of Amish voters are Republicans, according to Breitbart, so Trump could take almost all of those votes in November – assuming they come out to vote for him.
Hillary Clinton has a huge campaign structure in place in the states. If Donald Trump is going to successfully beat that, he is going to need help from everywhere, and everyone, he can get it from.
