A naked man, later identified as model Krit McClean, climbed over a barrier at the top of Duffy Square and stood on the ledge. McClean taunted and insulted police as they tried to talk him down. Among other things, he demanded to see Donald Trump, the GOP presumptive nominee.
It started at around 8 AM, Thursday morning when a security officer noticed a naked man harassing passers-by. The officer told the man to put some clothes on, but McClean ran up the stairs to the top of the square, over a barrier and stood on a 16-foot-high ledge. When police came, they tried to talk to him. According to the New York Post, an NYPD spokesperson said, “He was extremely combative. He was spitting at us and swinging his arms.”
After an hour of his strange behavior, which included shaking his bum at police and doing the chicken dance, McClean jumped off the ledge. Unfortunately, he missed the airbag that police had deployed to catch his fall, and hit the pavement. McClean was not seriously injured and is being held for psychiatric evalutation.
A naked guy climbed to the top of the Duffy Square stairs and on to a ledge early Thursday morning demanding to see Donald Trump.
“Donald Trump where are you, Donald Trump where the f*** are you?!” the 21-year-old, described as a Manhattan resident, shouted in between dancing, nonsensical talk and taunting officers trying to talk him down.
It all started around 8 am when a security guard spotted the naked guy, who had been harassing a passerby, and told him to put some clothes on.
Instead, naked guy dashed up the stairs in Duffy Square and over a barricade onto the 16-foot high ledge.
