flight from Dallas, TX to Portland, OR. Although she was traveling alone, her parents had made special arrangements for her trip. American offers a special fare for just such an event, charging an extra $300 to ensure the safety of minors traveling alone.
Chad Cameron Camp, 26, was also traveling alone on the nearly empty flight to Portland. He sat next to the girl and refused a flight attendant’s suggestion to move to another seat since there were plenty available on the flight. The details of his attack are disgusting and appear to have been well thought out by the pervert. A flight attendant noticed that something was wrong a half hour into the flight and ordered Camp to sit at the front of the plane. He was arrested by FBI when the plane landed. Camp has pleaded not guilty.
Independent Journal reports:
A young teenage girl became the victim of sexual abuse while flying home alone on a half-empty American Airlines flight—and the tell-tale signs of the assault came before the aircraft even took off.
A flight from Dallas, TX, to Portland, OR, was so uncrowded that passengers had their choice of seats. Twenty-six-year-old Chad Cameron Camp quickly found a spot next to an unaccompanied 13-year-old girl.
Flight attendants asked Camp if he wanted to move, informing him that he could have his own aisle, but instead of moving, Camp told attendants, “No, I’m fine,” seeming comfortable in his middle row seat.
Thirty minutes after the flight took off, a flight attendant who was carting drinks noticed an alarming sight: “A single tear running down the girl’s cheek.” Camp had his hand placed on the girl’s crotch.
