House Democrats staged a sit-in to try to force a vote on gun control. Of course their effort failed in true liberal style. They were inspired by the mass shooting of gays in Pulse nightclub, Orlando, FL by radical Muslim Omar Mateen. Instead of trying to prevent future attacks by radical Muslims in America, the Democrats staged a sit-in to stop business in the House.
Encouraged by their success (?) House Dems are taking their show on the road by declaring a day of action. Not to prevent gun violence, heck no, they want to point fingers at the Republican Party, the NRA and a lack of gun control. House Speaker Paul Ryan called the protest a publicity stunt to raise money for the Democrat Party. “Let me be really clear. We are not going to take away the constitutional rights of law-abiding Americans,” Ryan said. He went on to say that the focus should be on fighting radical extremism because the real issue is terrorism.
Maybe all the Democrats really want is another free lunch from Chick-fil A.
The Federalist Papers Project reports:
While they’re on their Fourth of July recess, House Democrats declared they’re going to take their “sit-in” sideshow on the road, with all members ordered to declare a “national day of action” on Wednesday.
The purpose? Not to actually do anything, merely to point fingers at Republicans who refuse to bow to pressure to destroy due process in the United States.
In demanding that Americans placed on a “no-fly” or terrorism watch list be automatically prohibited from exercising their Second Amendment, Democrats expose how willing they are to bow to tyranny.
Speaker Paul Ryan accurately called the spectacle a “publicity stunt” designed to raise money for Democrats.
