If you’ve ever watched America’s Got Talent, you know that it does! But not everybody who comes on the show is worthy. Some contestants are surprised and even disappointed by criticism from the judges.
Marty Brown, a down-to-earth, family man from Kentucky, who loves to sing to his wife in the kitchen, surprised the judges and the crowd with his rendition of Bob Dylan’s “Make You Feel My Love.”
Howie Mandel said, “You can’t judge a book by its cover.”
Howard Stern said that while Brown was singing, “You could’ve heard a pin drop.” Stern continued, “I am telling you, without a doubt, you are a great undiscovered treasure.”
Marty Brown got a “Yes” vote from all four judges and was offered a spot to continue on the show in Vegas.
Not many people make it on to America’s Got Talent because their wives tricked them into coming. For Marty Brown, however, that was just the case. His wife tricked him into performing on the show, but by the end of his performance, everyone was thankful for his crafty wife. Brown performed “Make You Feel My Love,” a Bob Dylan classic. Our SF Globe team definitely appreciates seeing talented individuals, especially those that are underestimated. Brown totally wowed the judges who called his wife out on stage to join him in the incredible moment.
