Emotions are running high on both sides after 5 police officers were shot and killed in Dallas during a Black Lives Matter protest.
One former Congressman and talk show radio host is in a lot of hot water after posting a message on Twitter that seemed to be a threat to President Obama:
This is illegal as you can’t just threaten the President of the United States.
Walsh’s tweet was denounced by both the left and right, to the point where his name was trending on Twitter, which means it was one of the most mentioned subjects on the social media site:
Eventually, Walsh was forced to delete his tweet and followed it up with the following explanation:
I wasn't calling for violence, against Obama or anyone. Obama's words & BLM's deeds have gotten cops killed. Time for us to defend our cops.

Some people don’t believe that is enough as they are calling for his radio station to fire him and some are demanding that he be arrested for what sounds like a threat. Maybe that’s going too far, but we definitely should not be encouraging this kind of violence, even if we disagree with what the President said.
