Nigel Farage was the founder of the United Kingdom Independence Party and was, until very recently, its leader. He served as a member of the European Parliament for South East England for over 7 years. Farage was an outspoken supporter of the UK leaving the EU in the recent Brexit referendum, in which the people voted by a narrow margin to do. He is ranked second of the top 100 most influential right-wingers by The Daily Telegraph. In 2014, The Times named Farage “Briton of the Year.” Now, that’s quite a resume!
In a recent CNN interview, Farage weighed in on Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. He said that there was nothing on Earth that could make him vote for Clinton. He commented on her arrogance, “She represents the political elite. It’s almost as if she feels she has a sort of divine right to have that job.” Speaking about Trump, Farage said, “Donald Trump dares to talk about things other people want to brush under the carpet.” Farage went on to say that a Trump presidency would be better for the UK than Obama’s has been.
