Black Lives Matter protesters believe that their agenda is important, but they do things without thinking about the consequences. Take the protest in Memphis, Tennessee, last Sunday night for example, when Black Lives Matter activists decided to block the bridge on Interstate 40 which leads into the city. Can anyone tell me how their plan to disrupt the flow of traffic into the city helps their cause?
Paramedics received a call that there was a car on the I-40 bridge with a sick child in it. The child needed to get to the hospital but couldn’t get across the bridge due to the Black Lives Matter demonstration. An emergency vehicle had to be escorted by police the wrong way up the interstate to the sick child. Paramedics said that the child got to the hospital just in time.
We are all relieved that the child received medical care, but the outcome could have been very different. Remember, there are consequences to our actions.
The Federalist Papers Project reports:
When Black Lives Matter stages one of their “protests” and blocks a major highway, they’re not just making a social statement – they’re possibly risking lives.
That’s what happened Sunday night in Memphis as a group of BLM Agitators moved to shut down the Interstate 40 bridge. Hundreds of them gathered and blocked traffic for several hours.
