The recent attack in Orlando by a radical Islamic American Muslim, Omar Mateen, and reports from the Muslim community that they are being unfairly profiled and removed from domestic fights has prompted an American Airlines captain to write a letter to the Muslims of America. In his letter, he expresses his confusion and growing worry concerning followers of Islam in America. He wrote, “You worry me!”
Captain John Maniscalco, an American Airlines pilot wants Muslims to explain which side they are on. Are they Americans? Do they ask Allah to protect America from its enemies or do they call for our destruction? He explains that Americans don’t know where American Muslims hold their allegiance, so he recommends that Muslims across America tell us. He writes that people in Muslim communities nationwide know who the radicals are, and as responsible law-abiding citizens, should inform law enforcement officials. He warns Muslims that it is up to them to show us, and until then, he says, “You worry me!”
Freedom Daily reports:
I notice you because I can’t help it anymore. People from your homelands, professing to be Muslims, have been attacking and killing my fellow citizens and our friends for more than 20 years now.
I don’t fully understand their grievances and hate, but I know that nothing can justify the inhumanity of their attacks.
How do I differentiate between the true Arab/Muslim Americans and the Arab/Muslim terrorists in our communities who are attending our schools, enjoying our parks, and living in OUR communities under the protection of OUR constitution, while they plot the next attack that will slaughter MORE of the same good neighbors and children?
The events of September 11 changed the answer. It is not MY responsibility to determine which of you embraces our great country, with ALL of its religions, with ALL of its different citizens, with all of its faults. It is time for every Arab/Muslim in this country to determine it for me.
